What is C-JCT ?
こども日本語コミュニケーション検定 C-JCT, first of its certification was established targeting non-native children and came from comments by parents and educators who wanted to encourage children to be interested in Japanese.
The purpose of the “taking the test” is to raise the incentive for learning new language and thereby increase familiarity with Japanese, rouse curiosity about Japanese and enjoy positive communication in Japanese.
And we think that benefits are making the best of your child ’s golden age in absorbing new language, Becoming familiar with language through setting goals with your child and learning practical words.
Features
A child’s challenging spirit rather than knowledge
- C-JCT is designed to measure comprehensive Japanese language skills.
- In a normal test, 4 skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading ability) are tested for each field, but small children do not need it. We measure them naturally through communication.
Easy to challenge
- Half of the test content is like an online lesson.
- Family can also stay by your children when taking a test.
- Even if the accompanying family doesn’t understand Japanese, don’t worry because the English translation is attached to each slides.
- Online lessons designed to support your exam are also available, so give it a try.

Certificate
The aim of C-JCT is to motivate children to enjoy Japanese. The tests have no pass/fail line. Instead, C-JCT encourages examinees to progress to the next LEVEL (goal) by issuing CERTIFICATES to every examinee, giving praise and advice.
